Roger Lotring conducted his first interview in 1990 and never looked back. That conversation with Gene Simmons in part prompted his becoming the co-publisher and editor-in-chief of Prime Choice, a regional hard rock newspaper based in Connecticut.
In 1999 he was approached by the Starlog Group to contribute to The Official Kiss Magazine #2, and later their in-house heavy metal periodical, Shock Wave. Roger was also a contributing writer to Metal-Is.com, a subsidiary of the Sanctuary Group.
He was a contributor and staff writer for Metal Edge magazine from 2001 to 2009, writing cover stories and features about artists such as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Staind, and numerous others.
His work has also been published in international magazines such as Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Prog, Revolver, Zero, Burn, and at ESPN.com and CMJ.com. When not coaching topless women's volleyball teams, he freelances for select outlets. Roger is the Metal Director at 91.7 FM WHUS, where he has been on staff since September 2005 and hosts Caffeine Bomb, Monday nights at 6P ET.
