UConn's Sound Alternative
UConn's Student and Community Radio Station
Jazz Director Chris Sampson came of age in the 70s; subsisting mainly on a diet of commercial FM Rock 'n Roll radio (before it was commodified, re-packaged, and pimped to his now-nostalgic contemporaries). Wishing to "spend more time with his family", Chris now dedicates his precious "free" time to hosting "Gravity and Chaos" (an avant-garde jazz program). The Boombox Krewe is in rehab... at an undisclosed location... under assumed names (i.e., their own given ones). Alternately regarded as a "visionary" and a "superannuated adolescent", he longs for original content to fill the WHUS airwaves.
