Ingram Marshall (1942–2022)
Flotation Device bids a reluctant farewell to American composer Ingram Marshall, with help from the Seattle-based Tudor Choir. We also explore intriguing new albums from China, Canada, Italy and Germany (not to mention the US) featuring Fred Frith, Lao Dan, Gordon Grdina, Tom Rainey, Shelley Hirsch and Laurie Anderson among many others. And we continue our recent Miles Davis theme, with a look at an absorbing recording session from exactly 50 years ago that yielded some material eventually used in Big Fun.
