It's DJ Megabooty's LAST show on KBCS! After 17 years playing funk in all its forms on 91.3FM, I'm saying goodbye my friends.
Tonight's show is a love letter to community radio, and to the joy I've experienced in sharing music with you all these years. I'll play music that influenced me to get into the funk/soul genre, music that has been important to my journey through funk and soul and this radio show throughout the years. I hope you'll follow me on Instagram and Mixcloud, where I hope to continue sharing my funk collection with the world. As I say goodbye to this show that has been such a huge part of my life since 2004, more than anything I feel incredible gratitude to all of you for being a part of this experience.
Thank you for listening, for pre-funking your weekend with me, for the calls and emails letting me know you are out there, for learning and growing with me, for just being a part of my community and experiencing the joy of music together.
